"Be Careful What You Wish For!" are words of caution that we've heard many times in the past. James & John wished to be seated at either side of Jesus in His kingdom. They wanted to bask in His glory. They did, all right, but not in the way that they presumed! Sermon is based on Mark 10:35-45.
Have you ever been in a place where it was abundantly clear that you weren't wanted? In this sermon we consider hostility & barriers. Listen for how my sister inadvertently broke through a hostile barrier for me when I was a h.s. freshman! The sermon title is: "What Are YOU Doing Here?" based on Eph. 2:11-22. Attend personally or watch using this medium. You may also attend Mon. @ 7 pm. No masks, no seating restrictions! Refreshments & Fellowship follows Sunday worship.
"Whaaaaaaat?" That's the word that emits from our mouth when we hear in today's Gospel reading that Jesus "could do no mighty work" in His hometown! How can that be that the almighty Lord of the Universe can't do something? We consider that in today's sermon. The appointed Gospel reading is Mk. 6:1-13.
"Jesus, where ARE You?!? I'm in the 'storm' of my life, and You're seemingly sleeping through it! HELP ME!"
Could those desperate words also come from your mouth? The disciples were fearful for their lives and Jesus was sleeping! Doesn't He care? And... why does He allow such storms in your life? The sermon title is "Why Doesn't He Still My Storm?" based on Mark 4:35-41.
