Zion teachers will participate in the LEA Convocation October 13 & 14th, so school will not be in session on those days.

Zion’s Vacation Bible School “From Above” will run from July 11-15, 9:00-11:30am. VBS is open to students entering pre-K (4-yr old) to 6th grade in the fall. Registration is open. All are invited to “The Wizard of Oz” on May 6th at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Beecher Community Center. Come see Dorothy and her friends, as Zion’s talented 1st through 8th graders present their rendition of this award winning favorite. Free will offering to support Zion’s programming initiatives.
All are welcome to Zion’s Preschool Open House on April 25th, from 4 to 7 p.m. Come visit the classroom and learn about Zion’s 3 and 4 yr Preschool program. See you there!
Seventeen Zion student recently participated in a Battle of the Books contest reading 2016 Blue Stem Award books and testing against other district schools. Two of Zion’s competing teams placed first overall! Congratulations!
Christian funeral services will be held for Dorothy Buchmeier at Zion Lutheran Church, 540 Oak Park Ave., Beecher on Monday, March 7, 2016. Visitation with her family well be held from 9-11 AM with the funeral service beginning at 11 AM.
Our Zion Lutheran School received the overall First Place trophy at the South Suburban Lutheran Schools Annual Spelling Bee held on Saturday, Feb. 20th. We had three students take first place in their division, two second place finishers, one third place finisher, and one fifth place finisher!
