Plan Now to Attend Lenten “Round Robin” Worship Services

The penitential season of Lent is soon upon us. (Ash Wednesday is March 6th.) With that in mind, Zion’s Board of Elders have asked our pastors to once again participate in a Lenten Round Robin of preaching with the pastors of area sister congregations. A Round Robin calls for the pastors to “trade” pulpits week by week with those of the sister congregations. The Elders believe that the majority of our members appreciate the opportunity for variety in hearing the proclamation of the Gospel from the various pastors.

As of this publishing date, neither the preaching schedule nor the Lenten preaching series topic have been decided. More information will be announced when it has been determined.

Please also note that our special Lenten midweek worship services WILL BE on Wednesdays again this year. There will be an afternoon service (2 PM) and an evening service held at 7 PM. Our 5 PM Saturday evening service WILL continue during this time. The service and sermon on Saturdays will be identical to that of the Sunday services and not that of the special midweek Lenten services.

Plan now for Lent by noting these services on your personal calendar. By doing so, you may prepare yourself to celebrate Holy Week and Easter with greater joy, wonder, and thanksgiving!
