National Lutheran Schools Week January 28-February 1

For more than 114 years, Zion has been blessed with a Lutheran elementary school. In this school students learn of Jesus and his love for them. They participate in daily devotions and weekly chapels. They live and grow together as dear children of God. On January 28th – February 1st, our school will participate in the observation of National Lutheran Schools Week. With our schools across the nation, we will give thanks to God for the continued blessings that he works through Lutheran schools.

Sunday, January 27th – This year we will be starting Lutheran Schools Week with the children singing in the 9am worship service. After the service, we are inviting everyone to join us in the gym for refreshments and fellowship. The children will be singing several songs for your entertainment and we would like you to hear the new sound system that was installed over Christmas.

Monday (1/28) – The children will have “Craziest Dressed” Day.

Tuesday (1/29) – The children will have “Class Color Day”.

Wednesday (1/30) – The children will dress for “Career Day” and have a reading partner activity.

Thursday (1/31) – The children will show their school spirit by wearing their Zion spirit wear or blue.

Friday (2/1) – The children will have “Pajama Day” and watch a movie in the afternoon.

Throughout the week we will also have a Canned Food Drive for Alicia’s House. The classes will be competing to see which classroom can bring in the most canned food items.

We would like to thank the congregation for their continued support of the school!
